Thai Floor Stretching Massage in St. George, UT

Enjoy passive stretching and rhythmic compression with this culturally ancient massage modality in my comfortable Washington County studio.

About Thai Floor “Yoga” Massage And My Approach

What is Thai Floor Stretching Massage? Unlike a typical massage, during this Thai massage you will remain fully clothed in loose/stretchy and comfortable clothing. The session will take place on a padded mat on the floor rather than a massage table, and no oil will be used. I may use forearms, elbows, knees, and feet in addition to my hands to apply pressure and guide you through assisted stretches. The experience is sometimes described as a “lazy yoga”, since I move your body into stretches while you stay relaxed.

Navigating a busy St. George summer is exhausting enough. Whether you are dealing with tight, heavy legs from running errands down River Road or serious lower back aches that keep you awake at night, my studio provides a cool, quiet, and perfectly supported mat sanctuary where restorative Thai floor stretching melts away tension for real relief.

Intake Process

We will begin with a quick check-in to discuss your current mobility and any specific aches or areas of tension you are experiencing. You will be positioned comfortably on a supportive floor mat, remaining fully clothed in loose, flexible attire throughout the entire session. The depth of the stretches and the amount of pressure applied will be customized entirely to your body's limits and preferences, focusing on safe, restorative relief.

While Thai Floor Stretching is deeply restorative, it involves active movement, compression, and joint manipulation that is not right for everyone. You should avoid this specific service if you have recently undergone surgery, are recovering from acute joint injuries or unhealed fractures, or have severe osteoporosis. It is also contraindicated for individuals with herniated discs, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), or certain cardiovascular conditions. If you are pregnant, please let us know beforehand—while we can offer modified relief, many traditional Thai stretches and postures are not recommended during pregnancy.
